Sundays are the Worst When Game of Thrones isn't On

Seriously what is there to look forward to on Sunday when Thrones isn't on? Monday? The work week? Waking up early? You literally lose an entire day of weekend when you don't have that hour to wrap it all up. Sunday just turns into 24 hours that awful waiting feeling. Waiting to get up in the morning to drag yourself to work for the next 5 days until the weekend comes again. At least during the season you get to wake up on Sunday, recover, and mentally prepare yourself for the inevitable demise of any number of your favorite characters. Just a sinking feeling right now. I have no idea what i'm gonna do with myself tomorrow. But it will probably look something like this.

Ok wow. What an episode. Story-wise there wasn't a ton going on, but the way I see it they had to get this in and it was better to take one full episode to do it than try to split it up in 5 minute segments over the last couple. Now you got the last episode to tie up whatever's happening with everyone else. 

But holy shit talk about going all in on this episode. Just holding nothing back. All in your fucking face with giants, and mammoths, and fire arrows, and wall chains, and firebombs, and giants, and giants. Did you see the mammoths?! Just some nuts stuff goin on at the wall. 

And in the middle of everything we lose another somewhat major character. Ygritte gets off''d on her way to off Jon Snow and somehow, I'm supposed to be bummed. I mean there she was at the campfire just talking all kinds of shit about how shes gonna kill Jon Snow. Big tough Ygritte is gonna kill Jon Snow and if anyone else tries to kill Jon Snow shes gonna shoot them with the arrows shes making right then... so cool. And then she wants to change her mind after she freezes up and can't follow through? No sale.. Can't just flip flop like that cause you have an arrow through your chest. Can you imagine how bad she looked to all the dudes from the campfire after that bullshit?? Just awful. Gotta love this little fucker though... what a shot. Balls of steel.

PS: If we could just go back to the giants for one second...

I Missed GoT Last Night and it Wasn't a Big Deal...

UPDATE: I've been told that this episode was the most expensive episode GoT ever made. With that said, disregard everything I said below about how it probably sucked.


Last night, for reasons I won't get into right now, I missed Game of Thrones. I know.. But low and behold, here I am at work the next morning. Same as any other day. And I have to say I'm a little disappointed. Up is still up, down is still down, and book people are still fucking assholes. So I guess what I'm trying to say here is.. did nothing happen in last night's episode??? This has to be hands down the most underwhelming twitter response to any GoT episode ever. Sure, maybe people decided not to spoil shit on twitter for one episode but I mean how likely is that really? Like not at all. So I ask anyone who will answer.. Did I miss the worst episode of Thrones ever?? Should I even bother watching the DVR tonight?? Maybe I'm overreacting but this is all new to me. Either way with just one episode left after this one and so many loose ends, shit is bound to get real as always. We'll just have to wait and see... unless you read the books, in which case, people don't care what you have to say.
